The Indie Author is Out Now

The Indie Author book by Jas Hothi

I’m excited to announce that I’m part of a new book called The Indie Author!

The Indie Author is one-of-a-kind book that chronicles the honest stories of self-published authors.

My good friend Jas Hothi started this project because he hadn’t seen a book like this out in the world and wanted to “nourish, inspire, and carry writers and aspiring writers along on their journey, whether they are working toward their first book or their next one.”

Here’s more from Jas:

I hope The Indie Author inspires more of us to write and self-publish, with all the freedom in the world to write and shape our books exactly how we want to, without needing permission from any gatekeepers.

After reading this book, you’ll realize that the only permission you need is your own, as well as picking up on tidbits from the fifty authors who share their authentic writing journey, creative processes and marketing tips – so you can write and release your book in the way it deserves.

I’m honored to be part of The Indie Author and can’t wait to dive in and read about the creative journeys of my fellow indie authors.

If you want to write a book, are currently writing one, or are simply curious about indie authors, you’ll want to read this book. The Indie Author is available for just $0.99 during the month of November. Get your copy today!

What people are saying…

Lizz Zitron, Professor + Librarian

The Contenders is the middle grade novel you’ve been waiting for: diverse characters who are funny and real. Eunice and her friends and family feel so real–they are flawed, kind, complex, a little mean at times, and just wanting to find their place in the world. Highly recommended for every middle school collection.

Laila Atallah, Career Coach

What I love so much about your writing is how personal it is. It gives me permission to accept and love my own humanity, while also giving really helpful tips and mindset shifts, and next steps too.

Mary Elder, Writer + Screenwriter

I would recommend your Fear & Writing class to writers at any stage of their career who struggle with fear (or synonym: “procrastination”). Everyone–from the aspiring writer who says, “I wish I could start writing” to the established writer who laments, “I’m a published author, why can’t I be more productive?”–everyone can get real value out of your class.
